Sometimes life can be quite exhausting. You’re on the lookout for the right path and constantly come to new forks in the road and crossroads. Often you doubt whether you have taken the right turn or even missed the right path.

In such moments it is good to pause and take a deep breath. Sometimes it is the right decision to go home – to family and friends – to recharge your batteries. And then, strengthened, to set out again on the search for the right path …
„I’m going home“ is the search for the philosopher’s stone, because life is a journey in search of harmony, wisdom, love and ultimately oneself. Some people travel halfway around the world, others stay close to their roots. Many get lost on the way, tormented by self-doubt, they ask themselves: What is right, what is wrong? Am I still walking upright, can I still look in the mirror? Or have I allowed myself to be bent and have I sold my soul? The journey is exhausting and energy-sapping. But after many detours, there comes a point when you realize that you need to rest and take time to heal the injuries you have suffered … And where better to do that than where you have arrived: with yourself! Where you are at home.
For the recording of this track we had the song recorded in Berlin with the wonderful voice of the German based US actress, narrator and illustrator MANON KAHLE at STIMMGERECHT. The icing on the cake of one of our most successful songs ever.

Manchmal kann das Leben recht anstrengend sein. Man ist auf der Suche nach dem richtigen Weg und kommt ständig an neue Weggabelungen und Kreuzungen. Oft zweifelt man, ob man richtig abgebogen ist oder gar den richtigen Weg verfehlt hat. In solchen Momenten tut es gut, innezuhalten tief durchzuatmen. So manches Mal ist es dann die richtige Entscheidung, nach Hause zu gehen – zur Familie und zu seinen Freunden, um Kraft zu tanken. Um sich dann gestärkt erneut auf die Suche nach dem richtigen Weg zu machen …
„I´m going home“ ist die Suche nach dem Stein der Weisen, denn das Leben ist eine Reise auf der Suche: nach Harmonie, nach Weisheit, nach Liebe und letztendlich nach sich selbst. Den einen treibt es dabei durch die halbe Welt, der andere bleibt in der Nähe seiner Wurzeln. Viele verirren sich auf dem Weg gequält von Selbstzweifeln fragen sie sich: Was ist richtig was ist falsch? Gehe ich noch aufrecht, kann ich noch in den Spiegel schauen? Oder habe ich mich verbiegen lassen und habe ich meine Seele verkauft? Die Reise ist anstrengend und kräftezehrend. Aber nach vielen Umwegen kommt irgendwann der Punkt, an dem die Erkenntnis Raum gewinnt, dass man sich ausruhen muss und Zeit braucht, um erlittene Verletzungen zu kurieren … Und wo geht das besser als dort wo man angekommen ist: bei sich selbst! Bei der Aufnahme zu diesem Titel haben wir den Song mit der wundervollen Stimme der in Deutschland lebenden US-amerikanischen Schauspielerin Sprecherin und Illustratorin MANON KAHLE in Berlin bei STIMMGERECHT aufnehmen lassen. Das i-Tüpfelchen auf einem unserer seit jeher erfolgreichsten Songs.
