Die akustisch gewordene Offenbarung eines großen Traumes: die Schaffung einer besseren Welt. Nach ihrem erfolgreichen „Red“ Nashville-Album „For A Better World“, legt Chancy Squire mit einem weiteren, hitverdächtigen Album ordentlich nach: „Here We Go Again.“ Diesmal ist es das „White Album“ anlässlich des 40. Jubiläums der bekannt gewordenen Hamburger Kultband der 80er-Jahre, die sich seit ihren legendären Konzerten in Onkel Pös Carnegie Hall, im Logo, im Knust etc. bis heute einer immer weiterwachsenden Fangemeinde sicher sein kann – längst über Grenzen hinaus.

„Gone But Not Forgotten“: What a drama in Paris at the Bataclan, Stade de France, in restaurants and cafés in the streets. A tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack of 13 November 2015. We, the people of the Western world, stand together and defend our common values, for which the people of Paris had to die. In remembrance of the victims of this senseless killing, the band a calm ballad recorded – with a carried Requiem character in the intro. The clou: one hears the national anthems of France and Germany interwoven in friendship.

„Christmas Star“: When the cold really penetrates you, when the wind whistles icily and when the darkness reaches for you, then it’s back: Christmas time. With all its lights. Her moods. Das brachte uns auf die Idee, den Freunden unserer Musik gerade zu Weihnachten eine ganz besondere Überraschung zu bereiten: eine EP! Und wenn ihr euch fragt: „Was ist das denn?“ Nun, es ist mehr als eine Single – ein „Extended Play“, ein Mini-Album mit 4 brandneuen Songs! Quasi schon jetzt ein Auszug aus dem kommenden Jubiläums-Werk 2020! Kurzum: Was heißt hier stille Nacht? Wir feiern die Premiere von „Back on the Run“!

„Back On The Run“: Ein melodiöser Rocksong, der sofort ins Ohr geht. Sein Geheimnis:
Der rhythmische Groove von Bass und Schlagzeug (Danke, René!) untermalt die textliche Abrechnung mit einer vergangenen Beziehung. Nach Irrungen und Wirrungen, Selbstzweifeln und neuen Erkenntnissen wird wieder aufgestanden und weiter gemacht.

„Gone But Not Forgotten“: Was für ein Drama damals in Paris im Bataclan, Stade de France, in Restaurants und Cafés in den Straßen. Eine Hommage an die Opfer der Terrorattacke vom 13. November 2015. Wir, die Menschen der westlichen Welt, stehen zusammen und verteidigen unsere gemeinsamen Werte, derentwegen die Menschen in Paris sterben mussten. In Gedenken an die Opfer dieses sinnlosen Tötens hat die Band eine ruhige Ballade eingespielt – mit getragenem Requiemcharakter im Intro. Der Clou: Man hört die Nationalhymnen Frankreichs und Deutschlands in Freundschaft verwoben.

„Christmas Star“: Wenn die Kälte einen so richtig durchdringt, wenn der Wind eisig pfeift und wenn die Dunkelheit nach einem greift, dann ist sie wieder da: die Weihnachtszeit. Mit all ihren Lichtern. Ihren Stimmungen. Ihren verlockenden Düften nach Zimt, Lebkuchen und Glühwein. Das ist die Zeit vom „Christmas Star“. Dieses stimmungsvolle Weihnachtslied freut sich nicht nur über den Weihnachtsstern als himmlisches Zeichen, sondern erinnert auch an die Menschen, die in Not leben, denen es oftmals nicht so gut geht. Und die verrückt spielenden Endorphine spüren … „In Love Again“ ist ein Song voller überbordender Lebensfreude, der die herrlichen Gefühle des Glücks einfängt. Valentinstags-Feeling pur – man will tanzen, tanzen, tanzen vor Verliebtheit! Das karibische Arrangement und die damit verbundene Atmosphäre lässt die Herzen höher schlagen!

Kein Valentinstag ohne Chancy: IN LOVE AGAIN! 

Valentinstag ist nur einmal im Jahr – mit dem richtigen Song von Chancy Squire wird er unvergesslich. Denn: Egal, ob frisch verliebt, immer noch verliebt oder dauerverliebt in das Leben … Man kann nie genug IN LOVE sein, nämlich: IN LOVE AGAIN! Am 14.2. ist Valentinstag!

Und das heißt: überbordende Lebensfreude, überschwängliche Glücksgefühle und Flugzeuge im Bauch. Denn: Wer kennt es nicht, dieses Wahnsinnsgefühl, wenn die Endorphine verrückt spielen und die Kompassnadel wie wild rotiert! Dedicated to the victims in Paris, France, November 13, 2015

The inferno of Paris!

We, the band members of Chancy Squire, are still unable to understand what happened in Paris, France, November 13, 2015! And we are pretty sure, that most of the people in the free world feel similar. On that particular day, endless hate and fanaticism turned human beings into wild animals and killing machines. The human race took a big step back: We have fallen back into times of brutal guerilla wars of Religion! Everybody, who is at the wrong place at the wrong time could be aim of those graceless warriors of Religion!

The senseless killing of people at the music club Bataclan, at the Stade de France and in cafés and restaurants in the streets streets of Paris was unbelievably brutal and disgusting. It was pure manslaughter, a terrible, insane act of barbarism. On that special evening, our lead singer Klaus sat in front of the TV, watching the friendly soccer match France against Germany. Shortly before halftime, the sound of two huge detonations swept through the Stade de France. Klaus knew at once, something very terrible had happened, and he switched to the news channels immediately. From this point on, the whole desaster took slowly shape, and at the end of this evening, 130 human beings had lost their lives, completely senseless!  683 were injured,  97 of those injured heavily! It took Klaus more than two years to get over this sad chapter of humanity. He tried to work it out for himself, tried to find words for something which made nearly everybody speachless! To find a tune for something, which left the people of the free world in a giant sea of sadness. Together as a band, we created a kind of requiem, which shall bring a feeling of togetherness and hope in anybody´s heart!

We in Germany stand together as one with the  people of France and the people of the free world.The song “Gone But Not Forgotten” is dedicated to the victims of this unforgetable tragedy, dedicated to those children of democracy, who were pulled out of their lives. The song is supposed to remind them every year. In our hearts they will forever remain martyrs of our freedom. The song will be very special on our next album. Join us for a better world: ABOUT US
